Mr John Teo, shut the fuck up!

I find it so disturbingly insulted after reading this article. Please read the article before you continue reading the rest of the post. Click at the photo below for full scan of the article;

1. YOU are an idiot. Even my English is not good as you; still you are a FUCKING idiot.

2. YOU just not fucking care what happen in Sabah, YOU just fucking care that your name JOHN TEO will get a breakthrough in whatever you plotted and schemed.

3. DEMOCRACY is not fail. It is person like YOU that failed the DEMOCRACY with yourself arrogant and ignorance mentality.

4. SABAH experience power crisis due to the bad management of the elected ruling government that "kow tow" to demand of one person at the peninsular that don't care about the socio-development of the country but only how much the oil and timber revenue will filling his pocket.

5. No one in their right mind wants a coal fire power plant next to their neighborhood. I believe you MR JOHN TEO not living somewhere near the coal power plant in the peninsular. Why not move your family next to the coal fire plant if you love it so much. I can let you know where the nearest coal fire power plant next to you.

6. Yes, YOU dumb. Sabah should have more political influences compare to other states due to his contribution to the Malaysia economic. Unfortunately, it is not. YOU dumbfuck knew nothing about the latest election where Sabah and Sarawak MP saved the BN ass back to be the federal government. Now, it should be the right time to bargain for more.

7. Coal fire power plant is not the only way to get cheap power. Sabah has lots of option such as gas and taps the abundance power supply from Sarawak Bakun Dam. This is not their option not because it is more expensive but it is because they can't exploit more money back to the corrupted people who invested lots of money to lobby for a coal fire power plant.

8. Malaysia is not an anarchist or monarchy country. The people have rights to voice their objection and dissatisfaction over their government. The people choose their government and have the rights to against them when they feel something wrong. This is how DEMOCRACY supposes to work. Without it, people like JOHN TEO will not able to write this fucked up article, pissed off so many Sabahan and still can get away from it at the moment.

I would like to demand an apology from MR JOHN TEO. NTSP press should apologize of the printing of the article, denounce and prohibited him from sending his article again to the any NTSP press group. To think about it JOHN TEO should be put into ISA detention due to his article that invoke the instabilities of the nation with him insulting the DEMOCRACY process of the country.

Jeffery G. Kitingan, you dissapointed us sabahan very much

because,

1. you settle for useless top post in PKR. by that meaning

2. you fight for self need first before the people rights

3. anwar sees your weakness open wide, knowing what you (personally) want

4. you praise the man who brought you down and look down on sabah people.

5. you're not sarawakian and not eligible to represent them.

6. you're same as the other ass politician in BN, "kow tow" to the UMNO ultralist.

in other related issue: Congrats to Anwar Ibrahim for resolving Sabah PKR Leadership Issue

1. nothing to be proud of when anwar gave the sort of bogus top post to jeffery kitingan

2. anwar legally has no rights to gave post to anyone as he holding no actual power and

3. anwar lead the PKR by his greatest puppet, his wife. (not a good example when sabahan hate puppet CM lead by UMNO

4. jeffery kitingan can't be the one as anwar can't never be the PM

5. PKR are more on like reality tv drama than true politics

6. anwar is still UMNO hardcore and i believe he will join back UMNO if he got a good bargain. (his excuse will be that he will fight for the people in a greater platform and we're sabahan turn out to be dumb ass again)

7. sabah and sarawak not 1 states and PKR should have one each vice president for each states.

8. jeffery kitingan know nothing about sarawak needs as anwar know nothing about sabah needs.

Indigenous people in East Malaysia please read this.

Najib said that he agreed the set up a Cabinet committee for indigenous people in East Malaysia. First it probably sound nice but personally i don't really find it amusing at all. The reason is,

1. Indigenous giving the impression that the race targeted such as Kadazan, Iban, Bajau, Dayak and Murut and others living in the forest without proper education and standard of living as is impossible for a Sabahan and Sarawakian to lead the country as well as to be Prime Minister one day in the future.

2. How is this committee can help when the social and economic development of indigenous people orang asli in the Malaya peninsular still far behind under UMNO led BN government. Not many orang asli get the fair chances in education and economics because of the bias that mainly influences by their choices in religious acceptance.

3. Do local sabahan (kadazan and dusun) and sarawakian (dayak and iban) do really need a special committee or proxy for their own interest where Federation Constitution Malaysia Article 153;
It shall be the responsibility of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to safeguard the special position of the Malays and natives of any of the States of Sabah and Sarawak and the legitimate interests of other communities in accordance with the provisions of this Article.

and 20 Point Agreement;
Point 12: Special position of indigenous races

In principle, the indigenous races of North Borneo should enjoy special rights analogous to those enjoyed by Malays in Malaya, but the present Malays’ formula in this regard is not necessarily applicable in North Borneo

are far more better protect their interest in long run and is in the constitution and responsibility by Yang DiPertuan Agong to protect the rights of Sabah and Sarawak natives and not this committee.

4. Contradicting so called 1Malaysia principal by quote from a malay 1Malaysia book text;

Meaning, Sabahan and Sarawakian interest should be discussed at the highest government meeting and as a national agenda without a sub special committee to compromise and filter or to lobby it. It is not known yet how much effectiveness of this committee ability to influence the main agenda in PM Najib administration.

5. Another desperate and simple short term fix by the UMNO to divert the main issues that raised by the majority of sabahan long time ago that still not resolved or attended. Sabahan and Sarawakian has the huge natural resource and political resource to negotiate for more superiority in governing the country more than the whole Malaya combined.

What is Tambunan Declaration?

Jeffery Kitingan explained it at the interview with NST Online;

1. to respect the special rights and autonomy of Sabah and Sarawak, including the 20 Points (agreement made during the formation of Malaysia)

2. the creation of a second deputy prime minister for the Borneo states

3. setting up a royal commission of inquiry to resolve the issuance of identity cards to foreigners and the large presence of illegal immigrants

4. raising oil royalty from the present level of five per cent to 20 per cent

5. getting a fair portion of federal cabinet posts as well as in the foreign service and to allow Sabah to plan its own socio-economic development

Brother Namewee got so pissed off with TNB

Brother Namewee strike his tantrums again and now with TNB. Why?

1. because power black out
2. for 3 time during one year after he came back
3. no one pick up the phone
4. TNB dudes do nothing and act stupid
5. he just so pissed off

I ponder what will he do if

1. black out at least once a week all over sabah
2. duration can extend until half day at east coast of sabah
3. blackout twice in one day (fuck up bad luck day)
4. power supply fluctuating that the power backup can break down almost every day
5. most powerful power station at nearby state (bakun sarawak)
6. sarawak rather supply power to peninsular malaya rather than sabah

I would like to invite brother namewee to experience the power black out that far more worst than in johor and give sabah SESB a lesson too if he dare. Thou would not recommend him to be too free style because the local is not so patient with bitched up dude.

1. because it will not change the way how the central government rule the land.

8. peninsular malaya still get bigger portion of government fund even you multiply it 100 times fold.

Loose Change 9/11: Final Cut

I am not certain with all the allegation in the movie is fact or false, but one that was clear in my mind is the government will never tell the whole truth. The government will do whatever they could to manipulate and exploit the people's mind for their own benefits and to maintain power as long as they can. No matter what happen, the truth will dig itself out sooner or later and the people will not be fooled again.

Malaysia also has its own controversial incident from the death of Sabah's first Chief Minister Tun Fuad Donald Stephen, the sex allegation of Anwar Ibrahim, the Najib's linked mongolia homicide to Teoh Beng Hock sudden suicide at MACC building.

At the moment, the internet technology are able to let the people see the truth where it is impossible for a big government or an institution to hide and cover up the truth. People are getting smart and wiser looking at one incident and not easily accept the mainstream explanation. Curiosity to know more about things and events gives us a fighting chance to people who conspired to manipulate and exploit the mass for their own and group interest.

Even the movie doesn't convince me much about the 9/11 conspiracy, i believe the truth is still hidden. It ironic to think of the people elected government could do such tyranny to its own people to reach a goal that eventually effect many people around the world. I believe every government has its own secret and conspiracy. I just hope they will not sacrifice the masses to achieve their political goal.

RM800 is not too much for maid.

He said..
It is unfair to propose that foreign maids to be paid RM800 when some government servants are only getting RM600 as their starting monthly salary, Cuepacs president Omar Osman said.

It’s just not fair. Some locals working in the private sector do not even receive RM800. How can we accept foreign maids receiving RM800 as a starting salary?

RM800 is not too much for maid. Why?

1. They work longer time than the government servant. Government servant in office spent more time doing nothing than actual work.

2. Government servant to social benefits such as retirement fund, medical, bonuses, loan, housing and others assistance where maid benefits is depend to their employer agreement and pity toward his/her employee.

3. Maid work is labor and time intensive therefore that why most women choose to work in air condition office today. Government employers work in air condition office, no motivation towards improving work quality even attending so many workshops and motivational seminars.

4. Maid has no long term work guarantee because their services is at the employer discretion and no stable and permanent increment basis. Once you're a government servant you will get a permanent salary upgrade and bonuses until retirement.

I admit not the entire government servant is lazy and does less work, but the general perspective see the government job is an easy way to earn a living with social and job security without having to bleed out the sweat and standing under the sun and rain.

Petrol Price hike and Product Price Hike

I was in a coffee shop having a drink with my relatives and my uncle was telling me that the drink price is on hike again due to the hike of petrol price again.

I remembered that we had a petrol price hike up to RM2.70 per liter and it created a domino effect on the entire consumer price in the market. I understand those price hike because the manufacture want to cover the transportation cost of the material even thou i believe the rate of hike not making sense.

When the petrol price dropped down to previous RM1.80 per liter, I don’t see any price drop in any consumer product or the drink in the coffee shop. They keep silence and the consumer didn't demand for the drop price of consumer product.

Now, with price 20 cents hike on the RON97 petrol to RM2.00 something due to the introduction of RON95 to RM1.80 something, i see a relevant and obvious rate of hike drinks price on the coffee shop but not on the consumer product. I wonder if this price hike is justified and caused by the hike on the petrol price.

I don't see any justification of price change on the drinks and selling items in the coffee shop or any consumer product. It is quite ridiculous to see the petrol hike with consumer product price hike but not vice versa. I believe many business owner earn more that they deserved and keep quiet about it.

I see a greedy act by the coffee shop owner in my town and with the amount of salary still the same, we will see the buying power is getting lower and the business owner is getting richer by exploiting the recent fuel hike.

I am not a expert in market and economics but it don't need an expert to see this problem and i wonder why the consumer society have nothing to say about it. I voiced my concern and what do you think?

H1N1, Najib and IJN

H1N1 = Pandemic that kills lots of people in Malaysia and around the world

Najib = Prime Minister of Malaysia

IJN = Institute Jantung Negara (National Heart Institute)

This is the photo of Najib and his wife Rosmah visit the IJN and went into an operation theater with lots of official and reporters to get crash course on how heart operation was done. To make it fair, i believe this is not an open heart surgery but a endoscopic surgery to a patient to blow off the block in the vein due to the photo i saw in theStar news web report.

I am not a doctor but after watching almost 8 season of ER, I think operation theater is a sanitize place that the doctor can cut open people without risking them to any danger and hazard of foreign bacteria and viruses. The surgery doctor has to keep a strict regimen of cleanliness and long procedure of washing hand and protection of outfit from the face to the toe before entering the operation theater.

In the picture, i saw with horror a bunch of selfish people mob into a middle of heart operation or endoscopic surgery just to take a photo with their beloved PM. I believe the surgeon screaming "WHAT THE FUCK!!!" out in his/her hearts but due to that VIP is our healthy PM (other than Mahathir and Badawi who has a heart problem) that don't care and curios on learning how to stick a line into someone heart look like.

With no protection on what so ever, this photo shown that a surgeon with full protective gear and illegal mob with no protective gear at all and possibility with H1N1 viruses into middle of a heart operation. I wonder how possible the hospital staff and official would allow such thing happen during the operation procedure. I don't think anyone that mob in the operation theater want people to go into an operation theater when their heart expose to the H1N1 air by those stupid mob with full dust, bacterial and infectious viruses working coat and dresses standing there.

I am not expert, but when i saw this photo for the first time, it looks like lots of health regulation was compromised. If the person that walk in like that is not the PM or some big ass person, I am sure all the surgeon and official involved will be fired and suspended. I wonder what Mahathir thinks if he saw this photo.

thinking, talking and writing politics

This blog has been around in the internet for many years to be precise since 2005. I had been reading other people blog longer than that and most time spending most time reading the official and non official news press in which affiliated with many groups and parties. Since the demographic of the malaysia parliment changed towards the opposition parties in the political scene, the internet become a main battleground of ideology, accusation, rumors mine for the politician to make an impact to influence the big sum of society.

Every day, our life has been affected by political decision that was made by the ruling government and politician. The way thinks, the place we stay, the food we eat and the place we have fun. The past generation lives in a confined environment controlled by small group of people with interest to maintain their own way of life. The king posses power that unquestionable by his subject and exploited and repressed to make sure the way of living maintain as long as possible.

Today, we no longer are being the subject of one person. We change to an arbitrary power of authority that was elected and trusted to govern the country benefits. Many succeed and many failed as succeed failed and the failed succeed. History thought the new generation on the mistake and make sure we're not getting into the past again. To make sure, we need free flow of information and making sure that we will not again manipulated and exploited by people who intend to be king once again.

Internet, an electronic inter network that connect computers around the world to passing and retrieving information among each others. Information of knowledge that we learn in past, present and future saved multiple places around the world. Whoever invents this technology really makes a great impact to the future generation and at the same time give us the mechanism to avoid past way of living to be in future.

I wrote many post reflecting political news i read online and offline internationally and locally. The more I read, the more i see the importance of political awareness of oneself on his future and children. Some might think that political awareness is a burden to their normalcy life and choose not to know about the development of it and choose to live inside an apolitical and illusion bubble. With no idea on what happening around they believe it will not affect their normalcy and that is a wrong perception.

It will be easier for certain group of people to erode the freedom that we experience for a short time and push us back living in the old days before we're realize it. While some choose to speak out their mind, some choose not. People who choose to speak out their mind not always right and it same to those who not choose to speak out their mind too. The truth and false are running along inside the information network that we read and it up to our wisdom to decide which to believe or not.

Nevertheless, we have to know that once we make a wrong decision on what to believe, the risk is losing the freedom that we has. To avoid this happening, we need to have a political awareness that happens at our surrounding. We have lots of resource to make sure what right and wrong compare to our past generation that had no choice to choose their own way of living. This ignorance that occurs among the young people reflect the past life that allows certain groups of people to put their ideology of influences for their own benefits

Today, we have the choice. It up to us to live in free society or in a confined society, between being exploited and manipulated or choose to do whatever we want to do.

Don't let him died in vain...

Let us remember that he paid with his blood and life a deposit for us to fight against those coward and ignorance murderer.

Underage Sex, Government do nothing.

Deputy Minister shocked to see 11yr-old mothers

I got this news article from the theStar and it is about a minister found out there are few pregnant children at the cameron highland hospital. Even the event was a shocking discovery; it never occurs in his mind the real problem of this discovery. The only thing he can think is how they going to register their babies.
He said that these girls would soon return to their homes in remote villages and the babies would remain without birth certificates.

The minister should take the matter seriously because girls at 11 or 12 age shouldn't be pregnant at this age. It is a crime to have a sexual relationship with an underage girl and more worst having them pregnant. This is a social outbreak among the orang asli and no strict actions were taken at the moment by the government about it.

I find it to be ignorance when the ministers only raise the birth certificate issue when the real issue was suppressed. We're talking about maid, women, animal and children abuse in the newspaper but ignore it when happen to orang asli. I don't really care if this is their culture or not. The important thing is it should not happen to anyone and no matter they're living in the city or the interior and the person who responsible should be taken accountable and sent to jail as a reminder to others.

Maid or Slave

Maids cannot be trusted to have a day off, say bosses

I cannot help but feel sad after reading the Malaysia Insider article about the maid in Malaysia. It turn out that pool made by the theStar suggested most of Malaysian object the government decision to have a mandatory one day a week off in a country that majority of its working class work averagely 5 days a week.
The poll, which asked if maids should be given one rest day a week, drew a total of 769 respondents over 11 hours. About 76.1% or 585 respondents said “no,” while 23.9% or 184 respondents said “yes.”

thestar

I find it surprised much of the reason was given by the employer that against the day off. Among one is,
Accountant Audrey Tan, who employs two Indonesian maids, said: “They might run away with boyfriends, contract sexual diseases or get pregnant.

I find it a bit offensive because this employer can make this racist and stereotype statement and get away with it so easily. This social degrading statement should not be the part of the Malaysian society. It doesn't take an Indonesian maid to run away with boyfriend and contracted with disease or get pregnant. Many Malaysian youngsters and some educated student did that too. Some of them did even worst.

Most employer with maid thought they have the rights to abuse their maid just because the maid have difficulties to learn of following orders. When the public condemn the abuse of the children, or animal, why there are major silences over the abuse of maid. Dog could get more good treatment compare to the maid in a house hold.
Labour experts say the changes are an attempt to change Malaysia’s image as an exploiter of migrant workers. In the most recent case of abuse, police yesterday charged Hau Yuan Tyng, 42, with causing injury to her Indonesian maid, Siti Hajar Sadli, using hot water, a hammer and scissors.

Maid abuse become increasing in Malaysia and Indonesian government started aware and threatens to act if nothing was changed. No wonder Malaysia got black listed by United States in its human trafficking report. The influx of illegal immigrant to Sabah is the top issues that should be take action. The BN government are playing stupid with these issues and only knowing how to blame other for their own wrong doing and mismanagement.
“Offices and factories can be shut down for a day off but we can’t do that in a home,” said Norizan Sharif, president of the Macom community group. “A home is formal place and maids work or rest in an informal environment. If they take leave, the home comes to a standstill.”

Excuses blaming the maid to the problem of the family seem not fair. Maid job is to assist the employer in their home work and not the caretaker or responsible for the household. The core of a family is lean toward to the parent and not the maid. Maid can come and go but member of the family such as father; mother and the children stay on forever. Such excuses should be objected and condemn due its lowest nature of reason.

It seems that career as a maid in Malaysia not a noble as in other country. Many incident involved maid become thief or running away from their work in which created fear to family that depend to maid to care for their family. It turns so ugly that maid that not as expected to be will be physically and mentally abuse by their employer. Where goes that Malaysian good identity that we cherish many years ago?

Three girls risk their safety for dogs in Pulau Ketam

I look as fascinating to see three girl jumps in the water just to get a dog in a very difficult place. I respect their kind heart without condition but it just a bit disturbing because they don't have any plan or some safety plan to get the dog out.

Pamela, the girl who wears a bandanna doesn’t really know that the mangroves are very steep and it look like the dog don't even dare to jump into the water. I wonder if she makes a wise decision to climb to the platform. Does she have any safety training or experience to get the dog out from there? I believe a trained fireman or rescue squad will not attempt those tasks without having a safety gear and plan.

Marjorie and Karin walk at that slippery soil bare foot that might turn out to be a soft spot with mangrove branches and roots hidden deep in the soil or water. One mistake slip might turn out to be a rescue attempt for them. I admire their passion to get the dog but i can see that they don't seem to be fit to attempt this quite difficult rescue. I wonder if this rescue plans worth their life and safety. I think they should bring an expert along or at least brief of dos and don’ts.

Boycott Pulau Ketam as a tourist spot

Due to the incident by Pulau Ketam resident dumping 300 helpless dog to unman island, i would like to suggest a boycott this place as a tourism attraction. The reluctant by the resident to cooperate on the rescue activities telling us that they have no sense of passion and pity over animal and I don't think animal lover would like to spent their money on a place that has a bad record on animal treatment.
Almost nobody will lift a finger to help without a fee. This is understandable. The locals are already shaking their heads in disbelief that there are outsiders who want to save the animals they so casually discarded. Instead of pointing fingers and antagonizing them, we need their co-operation to help save the unfortunate creatures. In the process, we also hope to educate the islanders on better treatment of animals. It would be an impossible mission if we didn't win their hearts.

source

I understand that the write of this blog still have compassion and forgiveness towards the local resident but i think they just taking advantages over the rescue activities and trying to earn extra money out from people who trying to save the dogs.

It is no surprised that the municipal district office know to ill treated abandoned dogs at the streets by killing them with gun or stick cruelly in front the public. I don't know if public money was used to pay the local resident to dump the dogs to unman island by their local municipal office.
Is this the way MPK and its councillors wanted these dogs to die a painful and a 'horribly slow' death? Did the people of Pulau Ketam enjoyed the RM90.00 per dog paid to them by taxpayers' money? Just what did they do with the money? A new LCD TV? More Yam Sengs? China Dolls?

source

It was clear that the local residents cooperate with the municipal district office over the plan and get payment that believed come from the tax payer money. I hope that the local resident realized that this action will give them a bad reputation if they want Pulau Ketam to be a tourist spot among the oversea tourist that threat their animal better than us.

300 dogs dumped in an isolated island in Pulau Ketam

'Dumped' dogs turn to cannibalism - BBC

I read with disbelieve that about 300 dogs were expelled to unman island by Pulau Ketam resident. Luckily some people realized this incident and reported to the online media and some people already started to make an effort to save all of them. Some dogs already died and some might not be safe. This event tells us that dogs are not excluded from deportation other than those illegal people that come to our country to earn a living.

One blogger wrote and documented the incident by taking photos of the dogs that stranded in the island. It is not a pleasant photo to see because i can't help wondering it could be people or illegals left at the stranded island.

Canning in Malaysia: Think before you break the law

Caning is Malaysia's second highest form of punishment, after the death penalty. The maximum amount of strokes that can be dealt out under Malaysian criminal law is 24 strokes.

wikipedia

I found this video in Youtube and view it with horror and pain in my nerve the whip that went in this offender back side.

Two different types of rattan (rotan) canes are used:

Slender rotan, used for crimes of bribery, criminal breach of trust, and white-collar crime.
Thick rotan, used for serious offences, particularly rape and sexual harassment.

These few rattan reminds me the day in school. It doesn't look nasty to most people but if handed to those prison executors, it can be a dangerous. Most of those executioners practice and perfected their whip technique to make sure it gave all out to those offender to think twice before breaking the law and repeating it.
Caning officials are required to fulfill certain requirements, and to be officially certified as caners. As of 2005, they are paid RM10.00 for each strike of the rotan, an increase of RM1.00 from a decade earlier.

During the caning process, a caning official is not to be rushed. A prison official that is present to count the number of strokes, is not allowed to set a time frame for the delivery of the next stroke. The stroke counter's duty is restricted to ensuring that the subject receives the exact number of strokes ordered by the court.

The caning official begins with holding the rotan at face level. Silence is required at the caning location. When the caning official is ready, the left hand is released and the rotan is swung with full force towards the subject's buttocks, somewhat akin to the way a golfer swings a golf club. In order to ensure maximum effect, the caning official ensures that the rotan's tip comes in contact with the subject.

There are some talk about abolishing canning punishment because of its cruelty to the people. Indeed, this is a cruel punishment only for those proven guilty to specific crime. Not all crime in malaysia punished by canning and only few offenses that punishable by canning such as rape and unnatural sex offender.

I believe that canning punishment should be told in school and other public announcement same as other penalty. I wonder why the government stopped all the public announcement of the illegal trafficking in the tv and other media medium. After watching this video, i think it should be presented to the secondary student so that they will think twice before doing any action that will result to punishment by the law.

Prison in the western such as United State, Malaysia has done a well done job in making sure that jail is not a place to bragging or be strong such as in the US jail. Malaysia law will make sure that the correction officer is the one who control the entire inmate and not the inmate. This will make sure that those people who went in to jail will not repeated offender and went in back to the jail.

What happen to SPCA KK?

With Earth Hour passed us, I remembered there are so many clubs, societies and events organized in Kota Kinabalu to spark some awareness to the people towards some issues. One that got my attention when i go to Gaya Street Sunday market are those few pet seller stall. Josie saw the pet puppy in the cage and knew that the pet was thirsty. Then, she told the seller to give them a drink and he doesn’t seem to care.

In the beginning, SPCA KK establish to make sure no animal in this town is treated cruelly and inhuman. Few months have passed and I wonder if the society still exists or not. Latest news heard that they have some problem in financial to run their activities and didn't yet has a place to keep those rescued animal.

I just wonder if SPCA KK still exists or everyone just busy doing their own work. Almost a year after it was launch, what did they do? I still saw some stray cats and dogs running around my place and pets that were put in inhumane condition in weekend or night market. Maybe it still young to compare with the western world, but i find it hard to understand that SPCA KK just stay idle for more than few months and nothing significant was done to make sure the government take notice of their fight.

I hope something will be done to those pets that were sold in open market. They should make sure that no animal was put in a inhuman condition.

EARTH HOUR suck big time...

Why?

1. Because my UPS crying like a baby even there is light (indicating low power supply capacity).

2. 3 time a week average 4-5 hour black out in Kepayan area if not the Kota Kinabalu town.

3. One main power station dam and few inadequate for the whole Sabah state region while the neighbor state oversupply big time and they plan to build 25 more dam in 30 years duration.

4. An easy way for politician and government to make the tree huger happy and continue doing their forest exploitation and suck the oil and build a coal power station next to the forest reserved.

5. An easy way for local musician and actor to be even famous even some of them suck in their career.

6. Another new reason for gathering with friends and drink in a dimmed pub where after an hour all back on and the music bang out loud and the spot light shine like morning.

7. Western developed country idea that only applies to big city where power blackout means loss compensation from the power supplier and big economic disaster.

8. I feel so depress when looking some street kids in the town and have a bite at some one left over burgers and french fried at McDonald.

Hate me? So, sue me lar.. =_=

Earth Hour: Domestic Perspective

Wikipedia define Earth Hour as;

Earth Hour is an annual international event created by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund), held on the last Saturday of March, that asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. It was pioneered by WWF Australia and the Sydney Morning Herald in 2007, and achieved worldwide participation in 2008.

Earth Hour
aim to earn around 1 billion people to participate in their program and switch off their lights as a support of the global warming issue to the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009.

Personally, i found it very interesting that Earth Hours got lots of attention all around the world and especially this small town Kota Kinabalu in Sabah too. It might be a good idea to switch off the lights for an hour to make a point to the world leader that our earth need their attention and solution for the global warming that we experience lately. I hope our vote count in when the world leader seen the effort that we especially in most of town in Malaysia especially Kota Kinabalu.

Power supply became a top issue in Sabah. Unlike in the peninsular, we experience black out at least 2 times a week for average 3-4 hours. In short, Earth Hour(s) every 2 or 3 times a week. Every time black out occurs, we curse the power supplier and the state government for its very bad services. Even when the power is on, i find it in a certain hour late night, the power supply become unstable and the UPS connected to the computer seems to giving out warning until the computer has to shut down automatically.

I read and see advertisement from the WWF and NatGeo and Discovery channel in Astro with the participation from the local artist the awareness to the global issues that take part globally. Malaysia has been flooded with lots of global nature issue from the global warming, carbon release, the rain forest destruction and the animal extinct but none was getting attention from our government. Sabah experiences the low power supply due to the growing demand to the electricity for development and new township.

Earth Hour came in a bit bizarre situation in Sabah. For many years, sabahan never stop complaining of the power blackout and the government always trying to avoid responsibilities by advocating a new power generator station. One suggestion is to use coal as the fuel to generate the electricity when ridiculously we're next to the biggest dam in the south East Asia. Bakun Dam is still in progress to finish but the governments decide not to supply the excessive energy to sabah and instead suggest building a new power generator station.

I wonder if Earth Hour can change our Malaysian politician mind no matter the Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat. At the moment, i don't see any strong view from both leading party about the environmental issues that has been debated for many years. The deforestation of the Sabah natural forest by those greedy local politicians to the uncontrollable pollution by those greedy factory owners and the showing of the Malaysian state of mental and their ignorance of the global issue compare to the local reality issue.

I believe there are more issues that needed attention beside this international gimmick by the western country that only serve their own environmental propaganda. Malaysian should be more aware not just the international issue but the local issue no matter it is an environmental issue or social and political issues. All of them deserved an equal attention from the local non government organization rather than piggy back on the international awareness that doesn’t makes any changes to our domestic socio politic and environmental issues.

The state and federal government should take more active role to the environmental issue especially the global warming by enforce a tight regulation over the deforestation and pollution by big local and international corporate. Malaysian should take its own action and awareness to push the government and the opposition to make environmental issue as it main major propaganda to gain support from the people. Education about the environmental awareness should be advocated at early education if we want to make changes. This will create a new waves of society that aware of the environmental impact of their own lifestyle and living in a energy efficient life without giving out effect that will pollute the nature overall.

Democracy erected, vandalized and melted.

Perak is having a big political crisis. Now, it is not clear who going to run the state government. Constitution dictate that only one can run the country but at the same time a new MB and cabinet was elected and then being banned from representing the people in the state assembly.

It looks like no one will step aside in this power struggle process. Everyone was so busy to play political chess without thinking the people who elected them first. No matter it is from Pakatan or Barisan Nasional, their thoughts are not about the people. It was not the change that we seek.

I don't really know why the Pakatan want to erect a Tugu Democracy at the first place. Although this was an honor act but others might not feel comfortable at this. Few days after it was built, the Tugu Democracy was vandalized and was melted few days later.

Malaysia democracy is just like this Tugu Democracy. We can create a democracy environment if we really want it. The people has the power to change and save the country if we willing to stay together and demand the changes. The political process that available in our country gave us the chance to do change. In the latest elections that almost see the Pakatan Rakyat won the election if not of their own technical mistake in Sabah and Sarawak side.

Perak people choose to change. Thou, some state representative choose not to change and it all back to business as usual. Pakatan is not giving up on their quest to maintain power by banning those new government members. Then all hell breaks loose. At the moment, no legitimate parties that can government the land. It up to the court to decide due to the constitution technical problem that I believe started when the Sultan of Perak don't disband the state assembly.

The state of Perak fate looks like the Tugu Democracy that was erected in the nearby assembly hall. It was built to mark the first ever assembly that done outside the compound of the hall. I personally believe this is the most significant event in the political history of the Perak state and maybe Malaysia. The Tugu was not holding for a long time when some fascist groups vandalize it and then melted it to ground.

I feel sad when those people destroying some peace of important historical event to the democracy process in the state. It feels like some fascist group is mocking the democracy process in the Perak state. At least not as what democracy run in their mind. The democracy process in Perak are being vandalized and melted by those people that we choose to represent us in the democracy process.

Bahasa Melayu for teaching Science and Math and not Tamil or Mandarin

More people are giving their opinion over the government decision to maintain the teaching English in science and math subject. It true that English is the perfect language to be mastered if one want to understand the knowledge of math and science. First at all, i support the government policy toward science and math but later on after reading some blogs and forums in television, i find it this is not the right decision.

1. No or only few country around the world use a bilingual in separate teaching any subjects at school. Most of them use their official language to teach all school's subjects consistently. For example, Indonesia uses Bahasa Indonesia to teach all the school's subjects and their level of education far better than us. Japan and China also did a same thing and they have launched rockets to the space successfully.

2. It not about the Malay’s language heritages or rights but more on confusing the young school children and creating identity crisis and conflict for the future generation. I am the product of the previous frequent changing education policy by the government each time a new education minister taken the post. Now, we even don't know how to call our national language. Bahasa Malaysia or Bahasa Melayu still not yet agreed.

3. English literacy among the majority of the school students is low. Unless we put English as our national language, it can be considered to be use in teaching science and math. While Malay is the national language by constitution, don't dream that it will change a things where only little percentages of city school students benefited from this policy while most rural and small town has less access to the material and practical everyday usages.

4. Teaching English in science and math shown that the government doesn’t want to put more effort in improving the education system in long term. Short term solution such this will create a new gap among the English speaking and non English speaking further away.

5. I believe the government should teach math and science in the national language that is Malay. We Malaysian no longer live in India, China or British. To stick with mother tongue language is a step backwards to the nation and educational building. I don't see the Americans teach their children in other language separately unless only as second language or culture and heritage conservation.

6. English should be the main qualification to any government post to make sure all spectrum of Malaysian can speak and write well. It is easier to lure the donkey with a carrot than pushing his back to make it walking. If the government not to obsess with Malay only policy, we will not have this problem at the beginning.

7. Other mother tongue language such as mandarin, Tamil, kadazan and iban should be listed as a mandatory pass for second language and should available in any government school around the nation. Secular Chinese and mandarin school shouldn't take the government fund if they want to maintain their language and should turn to private fund.

8. The government should not interfere with the nation education system. Changes only can be approved by those elected qualified expert in their respective field. Education Minister who chooses to change any education policy should present their cases in a commission established to safe guard the system.

These point above need no expert to think and create. It is a straight to the point and making some sense that was applied at some developed country. We lived in a very complex and complicated society that still living in their world and illusion of their homeland heritage. Those who still in delusional with their homeland should know that we're no longer considered as their country man. We will be treated as an outsider no different than we as to those illegal immigrants to our country.

Nude photo scandals

We were dump with lots of sex scandals that involving normal people, politician and celebrities. It was not hard to find those controversy photos in the internet if you know the keyword for the search. Today, with those cheap and good quality slr digital camera in the market, photography was not really an expensive preposition and everyone can be a photographer. I saw lots of type of photo in the internet, from random shot of their life to special technical photography. Nevertheless, a nude person and photo is not a good combination no matter one is rich or poor, famous or not.

Most people don’t care those photos with nude person on it if they're no one. Thou, it will catch some attention to some people who hunt for these kind of random photos that shows private and intimate part of a person no matter they're a guy or a girl. These kinds of photos that mean nothing to the person who might or might not intentionally let their private parts being photograph will not get a major attention to the public generally.

The problem start when personalities that well known to general public was caught to be in part of these photos. Most such photo exclusively belongs to celebrities that are to believe took a nude photo of them intentionally or not intentionally distributed and circulated around the general public. With the help of electronic gadgets and wide coverage of the information technologies, it sure is spreading hundred times faster than a bush fire or a big flood.

No matter one is politician, celebrities or others, it is a story. No matter this is an morally or not, ethical or not, interested or not, public always like to know, read, see and judge these people who involved in the controversy photos. Malaysia was not left out from these controversies to their celebrities. Malaysian normally looks high on their celebrities, politician because of the strong religious, morality and families’ value. If any controversy including these public figure, spotlight will be on them even thou it not really a big deal or their fault.

Many public figure nude photo controversy from such KRU member and ELITE member, police secret squad video, politician chua soi lek secret cctv and elizebeth wong's unintentional voyageur photo too lots of airtime and headlines. These people and other public figures and personalities was under heavy scrutiny of their moral and personalities value no matter it is private life or not, past or present on doing.

Public figure or personalities cannot run away from these responsibilities to the people who they tried to get their attention with. An actor needs the viewers, singer from the fans, politician from the voters and leader from their countryman. I find it very interesting to read and hear about those celebrities and public figure involved in nude photo or video scandals tried to justified their doings with excuse like personal and private matter.

Everyone does deserve a privacy in their life without interruption and disturbance form others but public celebrities and figure should knew that their need public support to be what they are. They life belongs to the public because most of their income and support came from them. Politicians need the public to elect them to their seat and post and celebrities need to fans to buy their album to maintain their career.

Privacy and personal is not an excuse for public figure to justify their act no matter it is intentional or not. They have to be responsible and guard over themselves things that would bring problem that humiliate their own selves in future. Self awareness and discipline should be a priority to whoever plans to be public figure such as celebrities and politician. If this cannot be met, the public will scrutinize them no matter like it or not.

From Chua Soi Lek to Elizabeth Wong

I still remembered a post i wrote similar to this event. It's involved a high ranking cabinet minister Chua Soi Lek scandal over his sex video that circulating in the public.

Now, new scandals over the same thing arise to the public. Elizabeth Wong, Bukit Lanjan assemblywoman decided to quit over her nude photo that circulating in the public. Personally, i think she should allow resigning. A person that works in such statue in public services should take responsibility over his or her action no matter in his previous or recent life.

It so wrong to let such tainted personality to be a leader and he or she should be barred from the public to avoid it to be a role model or example for our young kids. If not, they will think that it is okay to take nude photo of her today because the public acceptance over this action is good. The morality in the society will plumed to the level where it can slowly destroy a civilization and the existence of the human species.

Morality doesn't rule in one side. PR always condemns the morality of BN representative but of themselves too. We talk about corrupt, dishonest and greedy politician, but at the same time accept those nude photo, act and other incident by other politician as small and tolerable matters. We talk against the moral value of former health minister Chua Soi Lek of his secret affairs with another woman but justified Elizabeth nude photos.

As an assembly person that services him or her to public services it is fair that it will be judged by the public and a moral example and good ethic needed to make sure the people lead by the right person. A person was given power by the people because they think he or she is a good person and without any bad habits or other things. I don't think a person will public said that he or she did some weeds or take some nude photos or like to go to pub in his personal resume in campaigning during the election. If this happen, i believe this is the end of his or her political career.

I believe Elizabeth Wong did a right thing and resign as a assemblywoman. This is a good example for other representative no matter in the parliament or state assembly so that they will not do as they like when they working for the people. The people deserved the rights to have a good and clean leader to represent them in the nation or state assembly. To break the rules, means to accept those other immoral values such as corruption, greed and others values in a person who leading our country.

To all Malaysia MPs & ADUNs..

Please listen to this song before you do what you want to the this beautiful country.

How many roads must a man walk down
Before they call him a man
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand
How many times must the cannonballs fly
Before they are forever banned
The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind
The answer is blowing in the wind

How many years can a mountain exist
Before it is washed to the sea
How many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free
How many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see
The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind
The answer is blowing in the wind

How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky
How many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry
How many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died
The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind
The answer is blowing in the wind

Anwar reap what he sow

Thanks to Anwar, his plan to take over the country in hurry was defeated by BN in his own game and rules. I would like to see the country govern by other new regiment as long they're not BN and elected through a fair election. Pakatan Rakyat seems to be an ideal regiment but not the right party to be government due to its historical scar. Those historical scar and problem is Anwar Ibrahim himself.

His plan to take over the country and become the Prime Minister is the worst plan ever. First he tried to persuade the selfish and ignorance BN MPs by encourage them to switch side with some benefits on their hands even most PR supporters against the plan. The plan was indeed failed and easily broken by the super money BN.

Second, he tried to get the support from the King and Sultans by lure them with restoration of their immunity. I am strongly against this action because it is a backward step to the modern civilization and political dimension. I don't want to go back to the old time when power of governing was given to one person and immune to the rules of the land and people.

History tells us that many sacrificed their life for us now in which we live in a world that free and liberal. War upon war to fight those anarchist and selfish royalties and our past generation paid with blood and life for what we experience now, a free and liberal society with justice in the people hand.

Now, the PR is in a crisis again when Karpal want Anwar to quit as PR chief due to the down fall of the PR led government in Perak. It is true that Anwar is the main mascot in PR and factors of the huge support to Pakatan Rakyat but he is not the perfect person to lead the country or even a state. PR and BN somehow is the same in the power structure. It is impossible for the Keadilan to accept non-malay to lead the country because they're as the UMNO too ignorance and selfish to let go the power hold special rights that MCA and MIC previously arranged.

Perak’s political crisis shows us that the Sultan can act out from the law and constitution without the consent of the people. I wonder if the sultan acts according within the constituency of the state or just merely exercising the law at his own will. I realize that there are many flaws in the current constitution where the sultan or king was honored at high respect without some guarantee that the King will respect the constituency. The constituencies dictate that the King or Sultans should act accordingly to the law and regulations and it is against the will of the people if he overrule the constituency.

Anwar should realize this crisis and should admit defeat so that the people will not drag into a deeper problem and breakup. DAP is wise to denounce Anwar because he is also the one of the many factors to the crisis that happened or will happen. If Anwar choose to stand on his ground and maintain his post, i believe the PR will cease to exist before the end of the next general election.

ps - Truthfully, Nizar is no longer the menteri besar of Perak because he was sided out due to the informal vote of no confidence. The sides switch by the 4 Aduns shown the people that even with the assembly meet, he will sooner or later voted out due to the majority obtained by the BN and Independent in the Perak State Assembly.

Better resign than hop to other party

Missing Pakatan lawmaker denies resigning, Perak in chaos

At least, two PKR Aduns have more honors compare to ex-PBS DUNs and MPs whom hopped to BN during previous election that resulted an unfair election to the people. I believe those man of honor knew they being black mailed by BN about their previous wrong doing and choose not to be BN's puppets by resigning their respective seats.

I hope PR representative think about the people welfare first rather than its own pocket money. BN failed the people many times by their empty promises that resulted suffering to the people they sworn to protect. The people have spoken and change will come true if the PR withhold their oath, honor and promises they made to the people. I hope it can be true.

Greedy outbreak in Kinabalu Park

I read few article in the internet about the costly price during their trip to Kinabalu Park. I wonder what really happen that cost this sudden change. Sabah Park signed agreement with Sutera Sanctuary Lodge to take over the handling of the only one Laban Rata Rest House since the development of a new rest house project was stopped by the government.
Sabah Parks director, Paul Basintal, says that the price of accommodation at Kinabalu Park, including on the mountain, is mentioned under Clause 30 of the Agreement between Sabah Parks and Kinabalu Nature Resort Sdn Bhd (now known as Sutera Sanctuary Lodges). TheStar

Sabah Sanctuary Lodge only paid around 1 million ringgit in a year for their exclusive take over on the only rest house permitted to operate. One might think it is a good bargain but not for the people but to the Sabah Sanctuary Lodge when they charge around 200 ringgit per person for a stay where they can earn about 10 times fold of the price they gave and estimation 5 million ringgit minus the cost.
A local rate for Malaysians, permanent residents and those with Malaysian work permits are available through local agents and the SSL sales office.” (RM330 per night for a heated dormitory bed with meals. TheStar

Complain was made all over and once in TheStar website about the changes take over by those private company. It looks like climbing Mount Kinabalu no longer is a cheap destination for holidays to some cheap travel bargain hunter. I doubt that the quality of this place will change due to numbers of complaints and reviews by travel magazine and internet. Sutera Sanctuary Lodge really takes advantage on his monopolies on the Mount Kinabalu without considering the local who can't afford to fork out such expensive rates.
Interrupted hot water, electricity and plumbing leaks are common. Leaks from the bathrooms trickle down to the restaurant below the sleeping quarters,” adds Ruhaizad, 32, a Kota Kinabalu-based doctor. TheStar

Changes happen everywhere and it supposes to be a good change. Nothing good come out from the changes made by the Sabah Park official when they give an exclusive rights for the Sutera Sanctuary Lodge to operate the Laban Rata Rest House when the only obvious changes is the price but not the quality of its places. The people should voice out their dissatisfaction over this changes that only profited by those greedy people.

Justice served, Malaysia style

Former Sabah minister gets six months' jail for gun threat

Malaysia justice system full with loophole and weakness that purposed to serve to those able to buy out of jail free card. One person had died and there is no murder charges against the culprits. I don't really know what happening but rumors said the real culprits murderer escape out the country and living a happy life leaving the victim's family suffering the pain without seeing justice upon to their son.

Will Kugan and Altantuyah family face the same fate too?
