loji penjanakuasa batu arang adalah satu cara penjanaan yang paling kotor dan mencemarkan tidak kira bagaimana cara pencegahan dilaksanakan.

terdapat bukti yang paling jelas dimana satu loji penjana batu arang di Tennessee amerika syarikat dikatakan sebagai yang paling selamat telah berlaku malapetaka di mana kawasan tadahan sisa habuk arang tertumpah dan ia mengakibatkan kawasan sungai dan tasik tercemar sehingga kini.

di mana negara kita mempunyai masalah dalam menangangi masalah pencemaran oleh pengusaha kilang dan pembuangan sisa toksik oleh industri berat, adakah kita yakin bahawa akan penguatkuasaan ini akan berkesan dan tiada penyelewengan berlaku? tepuk dada tanyalah selera.

loji penjana batu arang yang akan dibina di lahad datu sabah adalah satu tindakan yang tidak tepat kerana lokasi kawasan sekitar adalah kawasan alam semulajadi yang paling indah yang kaya dengan alam flora dan fauna.

kawasan lokasi loji batu arang juga berdekatan dengan kawasan perindustrian ikan dan rumpai laut dan sebagai tempat tarikan pelancongan (sipadan dan mabul) akan kehidupan dalam lautnya yang memberi pendapatan yang bernilai berbillion ringgit setahun bukan kepada penduduk tempatan tetapi kepada penduduk sabah dan kerajaan negeri sabah.

apakah jenis pembangunan yang boleh dibawa oleh loji penjana arang batu yang kecil ini sedangkan kawasan sekitar adalah dimiliki oleh skim kerajaan FELDA selama 20 tahun dan penduduk tempatan masih hidup dalam keadaan daif dan miskin di mana terdapat satu resort yang indah dengan segala bekalan air dan elektrik yang hanya kurang daripada 1km dari kawasan lokasi.

loji ini akan menyebabkan penduduk kampung miskin dipindahkan ke kawasan yang tidak ditentukan lagi. terdapat banyak perkara yang dijanjikan. FELDA 20 tahun yang lalu telah menjanjikan pembangunan kepada penduduk tempatan dan sampai sekarang pembangunan asas seperti jalan raya, elektrik dan air masih tidak dapat dibekalkan kepada mereka.

sememangnya kita mahu bekalan tenaga yang stabil dan murah. akan tetapi, adakah kita sanggup mengorbankan alam sekitar dan hidupan laut oleh kerana kita mahu akan bekalan elektrik yang murah. adakah kerana kita mahu sumber tenaga yang murah, penduduk kampung berdekatan hilang mata pencarian akibat daripada pencemaran yang dilepaskan oleh loji ini ke dalam laut yang menyebabkan batu karang mati dan ikan tercemar dengan bahan kimia buangan dan pada masa yang sama merupakan makanan seharian penduduk tempatan.

oleh itu, diharap mereka yang menyokong pembinaan loji ini memikirkan secara lebih mendalam dalam hati mereka sebelum memberi komen dan kritikan yang tidak membina dan membantu dalam penyelesaian isu ini.

5. No one in their right mind wants a coal fire power plant next to their neighborhood. I believe you MR JOHN TEO not living somewhere near the coal power plant in the peninsular. 6. Yes, YOU dumb. Sabah should have more political influences compare to other states due to his contribution to the Malaysia economic. Unfortunately, it is not. YOU dumbfuck knew nothing about the latest election where Sabah and Sarawak MP saved the BN ass back to be the federal government. Now, it should be the right time to bargain for more.

7. Coal fire power plant is not the only way to get cheap power. Sabah has lots of option such as gas and taps the abundance power supply from Sarawak Bakun Dam. This is not their option not because it is more expensive but it is because they can't exploit more money back to the corrupted people who invested lots of money to lobby for a coal fire power plant.

8. Malaysia is not an anarchist or monarchy country. The people have rights to voice their objection and dissatisfaction over their government. The people choose their government and have the rights to against them when they feel something wrong. This is how DEMOCRACY supposes to work. Without it, people like JOHN TEO will not able to write this fucked up article, pissed off so many Sabahan and still can get away from it at the moment.

I would like to demand an apology from MR JOHN TEO. NTSP press should apologize of the printing of the article, denounce and prohibited him from sending his article again to the any NTSP press group. To think about it JOHN TEO should be put into ISA detention due to his article that invoke the instabilities of the nation with him insulting the DEMOCRACY process of the country.

because,

1. you settle for useless top post in PKR. by that meaning

Indigenous people in East Malaysia please read this.

Najib said that he agreed the set up a Cabinet committee for indigenous people in East Malaysia. First it probably sound nice but personally i don't really find it amusing at all. The reason is,

1. Indigenous giving the impression that the race targeted such as Kadazan, Iban, Bajau, Dayak and Murut and others living in the forest without proper education and standard of living as is impossible for a Sabahan and Sarawakian to lead the country as well as to be Prime Minister one day in the future.

2. How is this committee can help when the social and economic development of indigenous people orang asli in the Malaya peninsular still far behind under UMNO led BN government. Not many orang asli get the fair chances in education and economics because of the bias that mainly influences by their choices in religious acceptance.

3. Do local sabahan (kadazan and dusun) and sarawakian (dayak and iban) do really need a special committee or proxy for their own interest where Federation Constitution Malaysia Article 153;

It shall be the responsibility of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to safeguard the special position of the Malays and natives of any of the States of Sabah and Sarawak and the legitimate interests of other communities in accordance with the provisions of this Article.

and 20 Point Agreement;

Point 12: Special position of indigenous races

In principle, the indigenous races of North Borneo should enjoy special rights analogous to those enjoyed by Malays in Malaya, but the present Malays’ formula in this regard is not necessarily applicable in North Borneo

are far more better protect their interest in long run and is in the constitution and responsibility by Yang DiPertuan Agong to protect the rights of Sabah and Sarawak natives and not this committee.

Meaning, Sabahan and Sarawakian interest should be discussed at the highest government meeting and as a national agenda without a sub special committee to compromise and filter or to lobby it. It is not known yet how much effectiveness of this committee ability to influence the main agenda in PM Najib administration.

5. Another desperate and simple short term fix by the UMNO to divert the main issues that raised by the majority of sabahan long time ago that still not resolved or attended. Sabahan and Sarawakian has the huge natural resource and political resource to negotiate for more superiority in governing the country more than the whole Malaya combined.

LRT System @ Kota Kinabalu

is a stupid idea...

1. bus transportation still not fully utilized

2. poor management of town public transport

3. the train line upgrade still not done (or will it?)

4. crazy expensive way to travel around city

5. big huge steel buffet for steel thief

6. lots of public, private and pirate buses and cabs will lost their income

7. sabah electrical power supply still not manage the local consumption, how can it supply the LRT system?

What is Tambunan Declaration?

1. to respect the special rights and autonomy of Sabah and Sarawak, including the 20 Points (agreement made during the formation of Malaysia)

2. the creation of a second deputy prime minister for the Borneo states

3. setting up a royal commission of inquiry to resolve the issuance of identity cards to foreigners and the large presence of illegal immigrants

4. raising oil royalty from the present level of five per cent to 20 per cent

5. getting a fair portion of federal cabinet posts as well as in the foreign service and to allow Sabah to plan its own socio-economic development
