Peter Tan and Wuan spent their honeymoon in Kota Kinabalu few days ago. I was able to meet them on a gathering organized by Dee at Shamrock Irish Bar Water Front. Because o the Peter's disability, they missed lots of interesting places to visit. For me, i don't see Peter's disability to be an issue but more on the accessibility issue as i quote in his 29 October post
Stuck in one of the narrow aisles in the Filipino Market. This place is packed with stalls selling cultured pearl jewelleries and handicrafts. Enjoying myself in the cool sea breeze while Wuan and Rosalynn are shopping for souvenirs.
Today, i read a post about his unpleasant trip back from Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Lumpur. He wrote about Air Asia staff insisted him to sign an indemnity form or he will have to miss the flight. Peter Tan was given an impression that disable people will not need to sign an indemnity form anymore after assured by Air Asia big boss Dato Tony Fernandez July 20, August 4 and an impressive fly with Air Asia from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu.
Please click here to read more what Peter wrote. I choose to believe that Kota Kinabalu Air Asia staff act according to their job specification. It seem that Dato Tony Fernandez is not doing as what he promised and all the events on July 20 and August 4 is just only a photo opportunity to boost up his popularity with no real intention to implement it.
Peter Tan went from this
to this ..
and to this?
I expect Peter Tan will point to us about some fixes that he discovered while his short trip at Kota Kinabalu. I myself would like to know and see some disable unfriendly tourist attraction and places in here. I think that this town is so totally disable unfriendly because i never spot any disable people on shopping complexes and tourist area. Either this town is total disable unfriendly or disable people does not exist that i find it hard to believe.

Well, Air Asia has many more rooms for improvement, that's for sure.
lynnx01: yes..! indeed. starting to being honest first
I've been thinking... I think they should change their tagline to Now Everyone Can Delay...
I was in Tawau recently, and my flight back to KK was delayed 3 hours! But then again, I guess that's what you get lar from flying on cheap airlines... you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.
I think Air Asia should really take care of all these stuff if they really want to call themself the best low cost airline...
