Blog Comment Post: Revolution of mind: Political intelligence

My comment to one of the blog post was reply in a fresh blog post. I would like to highlight my respond in my blog too so that i can share with other people to read. Comment only to the person blog that you choose to give comment.

My reply to revolution of mind: political intelligence by delasagos.

i don't really have argument with PKR and DAP using this issue for the political ammo. i glad that the PKR and DAP got their revolution and won some states in Malaya. i envy to the point that the malaya people really cooperate and push for the change and they did that, but so sad knowing sabah and sarawak still a strong hold of BN that full with political lies and corruption.

the "CHANGE" that inspired from the us presidential candidate barack obama influenced a bit to the outcome of the latest election result. when few states in malaya changed, sabah and sarawak not change at all. i believe the PR failed to change the sabah and sarawak not mainly caused by the money politic but the split between sabah and sarawak PKR and DAP representative. i saw few parliament district votes splits evenly between the PKR and DAP and BN won by small majority. if PKR and DAP not contested at the same parliament district, the PR can won few seats for sabah and sarawak parliament seats.

why not the sabah and sarawak PKR and DAP working together and distribute their representative one by one againts BN? at least they has a bigger MPs in parliament. even sabah and sarawak contribute big portion of the parliament seat, they're still look down by the malaya MP especially from UMNO. what gave them rights to insult the sabah and sarawak MPs when big portion of MPs come from sabah and sarawak. it is an insult to the sabah and sarawak MPs when the UMNO MPs demand a sign letter of loyalty "akujanji" only from sabah and sarawak MPs not to defect to PR.

i personally felt that sabah and sarawak MPs scared to fights for the well care of their states. they let the ultra UMNO flock them like a lamb and one day used as a sacrifices if necessary. sabah BN state government are a proxy of UMNO based rulling and has no power to decide the policy in sabah. to add more to the pain, i find it so ridiculous to see two malayan people anwar ibrahim and shubrey debated about something that they don't really belong as quote "as their (malay) heritage" about the oil. the sabah and sarawak oil was control by the federal government and coincidentally control by the ultra UMNO or BN.

the problem was, i find it disturbing to listen a wrong people fighting for a right issue. wrong people such as anwar ibrahim and jeffery kitingan those have the chance to make changes but didn't do anything until they were brought down. the same thing with our former prime minister mahathir mohamad. i find it hard to believe the 360 degree changes view he written in his blog. do you think he will write what he wrote if the government run in his favor? he wrote against the badawi government because badawi no longer protect his cronies and him. without his the protection from badawi, mahathir change leaves and distracted people looking at his bad previous thing he done by strongly attacking the badawi leadership and others.

this trend of change leaves and inconsistent among the ex-BN leader is a sickness and shouldn't allowed to be happen. i looking forward to see more new and fresh non ex-BN leader emerge into the sabah and sarawak political scene that can change the mentality of the people and fight for the rights and well care of the states. it is maybe a dream that will never come true but it is a good dream for us to dream about. ;)

It is a bit crude, i hope you all don't mind.

Can't Ping at PPS

I tried many times to ping my previous post at PPS but failed. I don't really know what really happen. The most possible reason is my blog address was banned due to the unknown reason.

Now, i will try to ping another new post to make sure if my blog address was banned or not. If you all can see this link at PPS, it maybe a technical fault at the server. Thou i doubt it because i saw lots of post pinged without problem.

The post i can't ping is HERE

If i sitll cannot ping in the PPS, i guess i will use another alternative to promote my blog but it will not be as good as PPS can offer at the moment. For your information, i already sent an email to the admin and still waiting for the respond.

Update!: I can ping my link. I wonder why i can't ping my last post.

Most Impressive About Me

It has been so long i read and write blog. A blog is a personal space for individual or group to write anything they want without any restriction. From personal, art all the way to political issue blog find its place towards the reader. Personally, there is nothing interesting about it.

What really makes me interested is what we can see in all the blog. It is "About Me" column. I read a very interesting "About Me" that only few blogger in the world can write the statement.

Yes, this "About Me" belong to our former PM Malaysia. If one of you all ever be a Prime Minister or a President of a state, it would definitely a very impressive "About Me" for a blog.

Sepintas Coretan

New blog for my artwork

I created a new blog for my artwork for easier and cleaner setting. The blog will contain all of my photo and video artwork as well as the price and packages for wedding services. I decided to choose word press because the layout is more formal compared to blogger. Blogger design template are fewer than wordpress but one has more control over the design layout compared to wordpress where the layout was fixed. Please click the logo below to view the blog.

At the moment, people who got my business will directed to my blogger site. I still using this blog as a main address in my business card because the name of my business trade was not available in wordpress unless i register for a malaysia domain. At the moment, i don't think registering for a domain first because my financial and business not good.

UMNO's blogger counter attack front liner

Recently, i saw the growing of blog by some UMNO strong members. I don't know how many strong UMNO members out there starting to blog but there are few that i found. The most controversial blog is Khairy Jamaluddin with his constituency website. Thou, the problem is his blog was not updated since after the election. There are some annoying video clip playing automatically in order to project his ambitious political propaganda and images. Then he changed to a more down tune to moderate and suburban taste also with an annoying music on it. I had to admit that the site design was good and served the purpose as a propaganda machine and believe his money well spent on it. The problem was the content was outdated and since after the election there were no new post. The content on his blog was mainly to counter attack Anwar Ibrahim claims on some policies was done when he in power with his father in law in power. It looks like Anwar Ibrahim consistency posting updates in his blog really do make different and most of the reader seem to get personal updates on his recent trip to Indonesia. Khairy 0, Anwar 1.

The second UMNO strong member blog is from Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo. Today, UMNO really start to acknowledge the important of blogging. I still remember one MP telling the people that the all bloggers was a liar or woman. It is such a lame to say on that moment and now they got spitted by their own words. Dr Khir Toyo's blog just went up few moments ago created a blog has started to get work by tackling the pig farm issue in Selangor. His main rival is Teresa Kok who posted her own version of explanation and argument on the issue. Dr Khir Toyo even posted up his own explanation of the pig farm issue even while on during his haj. I don't think his mind at peace when all the fun and fight happening in here. At the moment I can say Dr Khir Toyo 1, Teresa Kok 1. Let the best argument with based with proof win the argument.

The next UMNO strong member blog is from Malaca Chief Minister Mohd Ali Rustam. The main issue that posted in his blog is about Pakatan Rakyat. He argues about the importance and reality check on this pakatan that he convinces it is not going to work. His argument was that there were lots of differences among the three main party and without understanding and agreement, those pakatan will not going to work and this will be a disaster to the people. I guess his fair opponent on this issue is Lim Kit Siang. Lim Kit Siang has propagating the Pakatan Rakyat idea to the people as an alternative to Barisan Nasional after their wins of several states. His blog consisted lots of issues and i don't know most of the post was written by him or not. Some post was written or posted with approval in his blog to widen more issues to the readers. Pakatan Rakyat idea still strong with Lim Kit Siang but with lots of issues to covers and post in the blog, it went down and become cold. It look like Mohd Ali Rustam choose to take on the Pakatan Rakyat issue and Lim Kit Siang is the main contender to a debate and argument didn’t give any good fight to him. At the moment, I have to give Mohd Ali Rustam 1, and Lim Kit Siang 0. Lim Kit Siang blog covers too much political issues that he is so busy to post a counter argument in his blog fast.

These are few blog I found interesting to put up. I have not yet discover any new UMNO strong member blog or any BN component party blog to stand on the front line on taking against the opposition blog in internet space. I believe, internet age gave a new fair platform for political war. The old media such as television and newspaper print that believe to be bias and tend more to ruling government was slowly eliminated. The importance of this old media machine was still significant because there are small percentages of population such as the elder don’t have an access to internet. At the moment, I believe the opposition party still got the strong hold on this internet space because of their earlier utilization of this media. With the new waves of Barisan Nasional blogger in the front line, this war of overflow information and argument will be the pinnacle of Malaysia political platform in future. The people will not be pushed as a flock of lamb or cows anymore because the government lost their strong grip of withholding information and news. I look beyond to a mass overflow of information in these few years and we have to starts to do a own censorship of whatever we read in the internet.

Internet and its influences to Malaysia's politics stage

I wrote a post two years ago in 2005 on two malaysian opposition politician utilizing the mass internet media to reach out to the blogger community. The two prominent politicians are YB Lim and YB Teresa. Jeff Ooi at that time, the most controversial blogger in the internet are making his mark as an independent journalist who got the balls to write against the government openly. Many thought that he won't last long and would be thrown in to ISA to be humiliated and brain wash. Now, he is still alive and kicking with the new prospect as a DAP representative to contest in Jelutong parliament seat.

My previous post is mainly about the DAP YB's new blog and this significant news knowing that they do realized the importance of blogging as a future road in media information. I would like to quote the last paragraph of my previous post.

Can blog writers make changes on the real political area and make bloglitical as a word politically and get its wide acceptance from general community in Malaysia? Jeff Ooi seems to be a major favorite for me, and might be we can see some others as well. So what do you think?

I did not get any respond on my comment box. Now, two years after the post, Jeff Ooi standing contesting for a Parliament seat. It doesn't make me surprise when he announced of his candidacy after few speculation if he decided to contest or not and which party he will be representing. This election will prove weather a blogger can make any different in a real world political platform rather than barking behind the internet curtain.

I also did a similar post about blogger in political platform and spit out two names of possible first blogger MP. Even thou this post not really fully about politic issue and more on a silly incident that happen, i did speculate about the chances of blogger in political scene. Blog really change a lots compared to few years ago. The ignorance and alter ego among conservative politicians towards blogger vanished after they realized that internet with blog really can make a difference.

The presidential candidates for 2008 America general election has utilized the internet to reach out to a constant and rapid growth of internet community. I read a news article on edison chen's scandalous photo in which highlighted a new word. "Netizen" is defined in wikipedia as i quote,

A Netizen (a portmanteau of Internet and citizen) or cybercitizen is a person actively involved in online communities

Youtube was utilized fully by the presidential candidate as an important media asset to their campaign. CNN and Youtube successfully collaborate to organized a Democrat and Republican debate and give the chances for anyone of us all around the world no matter one is citizen or not an opportunity to express a question to the candidates. This is a great big step right after Neil Armstrong’s first step on the moon to the advancement of our civilization. The future is looking better and brighter.

Internet really changes the mind of many and it still does. The significant to Malaysia’s political stage is the first blogger MP if he wins the contest. This will definitely give us an assurance of free speech through internet for another 5 years.

Ravejoint: A place where you really can find a place to eat

I saw lots of blog about food growing more and more in Malaysia blogosphere. The most famous one i think is kyspeak. I believe that he is the most reliable and trusted food critics’ blogger in malaysia. I always see people who in food blog wrote a general description on what they eat. Basically, if this particular dish delicious or not or cheap or expensive and then the end. Another problem is that they way they direct people the location of the shop. Let me show you how kyspeak draw a map.

It is a very detailed and interesting map for a person with a mouse and paintbrush. This map was drawn with lots of pain talking steady hand and mouse navigation. That why most food blogger not putting any self made map on their food blog. I found out there is a local website that provided a very creative and advance way for most of the food blogger out there. It utilized the google map technology and the recent high quality photo mapping and road mapping around malaysia main town.

Map like this look more professional and neat. No more pains taking effort using that little mouse and hurting your eyes every time you do a food review. Let me quote some text from it’s about page.

Ravejoint is a place for people passionate about food to hang out and share their enthusiasm. We want to create a place where you can discover the best food and places to eat as well as share your experiences. For those who are food critics at heart can easily blog about your favourites and even recommend personal favorites to friends through your profile page.

Indeed, this website offers lots of practical and easy way for blogging food locally. I'm not sure if this website is the first for food blogging but it merely match the google map web based site where you can find almost anything but limited to specific places. Nevertheless, this website offers a specific application for blogging that is food.
