Democracy that was flushed down to the toilet

NST: I was betrayed by my allies, says Jui Meng

I believe it too naive for me to think that pure democracy still exists. In the latest MCA general election, we saw changes at the top leadership especially when the deputy president won by the self outcast leader Chua Soi Lek. Ong Tee Kiat won the president seat beating the competitor Chua Jui Meng. Now Chua Jui Meng makes statement in the news that he was betrayed by his allies during the election.
MCA leaders known to have endorsed Chua for the post included deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek, vice-president Datuk Dr Ng Yen Yen as well as former vice-presidents Datuk Donald Lim and Datuk Seri Dr Fong Chan Onn.
Jui Meng said that according to their agreement, "we were supposed to vote for one another".

It looks like there was some arrangement to get the seat of the top leadership in MCA instead of leaving it to the democracy practice to decide. Prearrangement before the election seems to be against the structure of fair election that was spoken very strongly from the leadership. Here are some contradict moral value by our leadership that we should aware and alert.
"On election day, I kept my word. I instructed my supporters to vote for these leaders but I was betrayed," he said, adding that some of them went back on their word as he later found out that their supporters were not told to vote for him.

It is appropriate for a candidate to instruct the party members to vote certain people in the election? It sound like a fraud in the party election and the result should be void and the involved leader should be punished. It might not happen but would be nice if it do so. We heard lots of preaching from our leader about justice and human rights, thou few of them really mean about it. It was quite sad to know that Malaysian is so easy to trust the leader so fast. I still believe in Malaysia system in election but I doubt democracy play a large part on it.

When Tengku and Tunku in a brawl

The Malaysian Insider: Malaysian princes come to blows

When two royal house hold fight like a common people, will they be prosecute in a royal court or common court? It obvious written in the news that the cause of the brawl caused by unknown personal reason. To make it more interesting, the royal family who most Malay society upholds their religion at the highest is breaking the law of religion.
Several people familiar with the alleged beatings on Saturday say that friends of the grandsons from the Johor and Negri Sembilan royal households were in separate groups at a nightclub in the heart of Kuala Lumpur on Friday night.

I don't really know if the religious department will going to take action on those royal families that break the shariah law. Religious department in various states spoke highly on the religious law and act so actively to catch and humiliate innocent and guilty couple in park and release fatwa over some issue but not dare to comment and taking action about the royal household that brawl in the night club.
Lawyers and political analysts say the latest incident involving the royal households of Negri Sembilan and Johor is likely to be watched closely and will be a test of the government's determination to bring the country's royalty to legal parity with commoners.

I believe when two people no matter they are leader, king or royal member broke the law that they hold upon, they should be punish within the law. The two tengku and tunku brawl in a common nightclub, both of them should be punished with common law and shariah law. I find the so confused that the family of the head of religion immune from persecution of any law if they do so breaking it where the common people was not. How the head of religion will lead the people with their up most respect when they don't walk the talk.

Eurocopter Purchase: Just let the monkeys do the shopping.

EUROCOPTER PURCHASE: No physical evaluation done on helicopters, Dewan told

Again, the BN government silliness was presented by the mainstream news. It was saying that our government almost spent more less 1.5 billion ringgit of tax payer money without further research on the merchandise they plan to buy. My god, how can they do this to us? I guess, they don't care because the money not comes out from their pocket. I found it very disturbing when they give out the reason this happened.
He said it was also to maintain the integrity of a six-man valuation committee, to ensure it had no direct connection with bidders for purchase, which was conducted via international open tender.

What they think when they said that? Would anyone buy a car or a house without have a test drive on the car or looking at the property on sport or talking to the seller? That was a most stupid thing to do when going out for shopping. Don’t they know or learn about accountability and arbitrary evaluator or some sort of that thing? It sounds so silly that our leader knew nothing about doing a big shopping for the nation. Might as well just let the monkeys do the shopping then.

I scratch your back, you scratch my back

UMNO Party General Election saw lots of new and old faces move in to contest the top post in the party. Nonetheless, i don't think there will be any changes happen when the new top committee taking over the job. There are still strong influences from the old regimen especially from Tun Dr Mahathir who sling shot his son Mukhriz to the top of the Pemuda UMNO wing. It then was strengthen by the ad hoc support by the Pekan UMNO youth division that suggest to be indirect endorsement by Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
Pekan nod for Mukhriz suggests Najib backing

Tun Mahathir who is the top critic of Abdullah Badawi's premiership gave his endorsement to Najib Razak to be the next President of UMNO and officially gave the Prime Minister seat to him. Even if this is not the personal endorsement from Najib to Mukhriz, some unknown systematic plan is running during this candidacy of the UMNO top post. I cannot help to think that the process of fair election and democracy is alive or dead in this time.
Khairy, who was seen as the favorite to take over the movement’s leadership until the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi, his father-in-law, announced that he was not defending the presidency, received his 39th nomination yesterday from the Tangga Batu division, in Malacca.

I see the malays look their leader as a noble man and not a qualify leader. History dictate that only certain clan and connection qualify and able to lead the country. The leader was chosen by some top influences political person or with a good and well network and connection by birth and rights. Mahathir has created himself a new noble clan family that far influences than the states royalty. Prime Minster endorsement was look more like a royalty order rather than a support of certain candidacy. To critic the Prime Minster is an action that can be punish same as disloyal act to the king or sultan.

Democracy and justice was spoken many times by the political leader in the mass media but spoken like a breath of air. Malaysia leader preach and telling the world that they honor democracy and justice but not walk the talk by doing other else thing. Corruption and favoritism became the mistress of our trusted leader and only few groups of people benefited the growing wealth of the nation. The rest has to depend to the mercy from them only if their goodness can be return with a full loyal to them.

End Special Privileges, would it be possible?

The Malaysia Insider today;
Najib ready to end special privileges for Malays

I thought it too good to be true but it seems to be understandable when he said it in a tv interview at Bloomberg Television. Malaysian leader are well known to talk different thing on the tv and do other thing in real.
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 24 — Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is ready to end the special privileges for the Malays, but stressed that this must be done gradually.
In an interview with Bloomberg Television, the Prime Minister-designate said "if we do not change, the people will change us".

It is easy to Najib to talk the talk when in reality, it is impossible for UMNO to accept the end of something good for the party members. I believe most of the left wing extremist would oppose this action because of their neo-malay conservative mentality.
Some analysts Bloomberg spoke to expressed doubt that Umno, the leading party in the ruling coalition, is ready to give up a programme that helps its members. Political consultant Karim Raslan said Umno hasn't fully accepted how much it needs to change.

Even the political analyst don't really believe changes among the UMNO member about the social contract would happen even thou the changes bring more good than bad to their races.

Reading about this news is just like reading a fiction story book. It sound so true but in one deep mind, it just a fantasy. I believe most of the majority Malay acknowledge that the social contract bring more bad than good, but within UMNO and BN, their survival depends to it because without it they will be not be relevant anymore.

Poor people living in a 1 Million illegal Mansion?

I don't really understand when i read this article in theStar,
Villagers tussle with church

It look like there is a tug of war between the church and the villagers about the land that a 1 million ringgit mansion that was built illegally in a church's land. I wonder why on earth a 1 million ringgit mansion built on a church land and why the church doesn’t stop it when they start the project earlier. It smells fishy at this point. I wonder what happen to the million ringgit mansion by Klang MP.

I quote an earlier paragraph;
MALACCA: About 100 villagers from Kampung Ayer Salak, Bukit Rambai, were engaged in a standoff with church authorities yesterday over the demolition of a RM1mil mansion which was built illegally on church land.

And this second quote;
“It is not a situation where the church is depriving poor people of a roof over their heads,” he said, adding that the proposed home cost more than RM1mil.

The church authorities were accused by the building owner of depriving poor people of a roof over the head. That sounds ridiculous and insane to the top.

The land was officially belonging to the church and the villagers were allowed to stay and open the land many years ago. I don't agree with businessman Peter Lim who argues that he can do anything with the land without any permission because the church authority didn't do so previously. Mr. Lim doesn't aware that the church has given them a very good life by letting them to do some plantation over the church land and they should be obliged to their rules and not trying to cut out a piece of it by the greed.

It look like the businessman Lim has gone over his head with his wealth and trying to use a lame excuses that poor people like him should be allowed to live in a big mansion. If businessman has extra money to build an extra home, why not he try to buy the land from the church instead of building a big house in hope to strengthen his claim over the land free of charge. It look like a bad management on the church land lead to some people to take advantage over the church land where mostly located in a very exclusive area.

Reading this news make me think if the church management did a good job in making sure their blessed land will not be stolen or taken advantages by greed people who in disguise in the community with a purpose. Many stories were heard about the mismanagement of the church funding by the people who we trusted most for their own personal benefits. If that true, I guess they only need to explain to god himself and not to us.

Teach Malaysia Social Contract to School Children.

Perak Sultan was quote in NSTOnline,
Sultan: Teach young on Social Contract

The problem was, how are we going to teach about social contract when the people, lawyers, politicians and the leaders can't seems to agree to what it is. Doesn't it enough for the old to be confused? Do we need to drag the young one to be brain washed with certain version of social contracts that lead to political agenda and propaganda?

Malaysia social contract was a mess that originally Malaya problem. Sabah and Sarawak was dragged into this social contract unaware of the risk and liability. Every article and resource written about social contract pointed to the Malaya historical fact and Sabah and Sarawak only added to associate it with the Federation of Malaysia. Does social contract include the native races from Sabah and Sarawak? If included, why there are issues brought up by Tuaran MP Datuk Wilfred Bumburing as i quote in Daily Express,
Tuaran MP Datuk Wilfred Bumburing claimed that Bumiputeras in Sabah and Sarawak had been placed in the same category as thousands of illegal immigrants in Sabah, devoid of race distinction, as shown in official statistics and application forms as "yang lain-lain" (others).

To make it short, Malaysia Social Contract not really well defined and variety between the people, lawyers, politician and leaders. When Malaysia government strong stand against the Africa apartheid regiment and the Palestinian repression by the Israelite, how can they allowed such double standard racist policy exist in this country?

My concern to the teaching of social contract to the young generation would actually seed in racist sentiment among them. No good can come out when a Malay children was told that the government and constitution will forever protect their birth rights no matter they hardworking or lazy and non-Malay children learn that no matter how hard they struggle and strives in life, they need to give way to the Malay first. Sabah and Sarawak natives not really there when the social contracts was first agreed, if that so i think they will not have any argument about that now.

Golden Parachute for Valuecap Sdn Bhd?

Malaysia Insider wrote,
EPF to lend the RM5b to fund Valuecap

I'm not expert about the big corporate company in Malaysia but after watching so many news about the 700 billion dollar bail out and their hope that the money not ended to the management own pocket, I had a bad feeling about where most of money going to ended up.

Malaysia was not a new player in bailing out on big lost company. This was happened way back to the 90's when Malaysia Corporation Policy turn bad during the asia economic crisis. All hell went berserk and money from people pension fund flow out like a burst dam. I believe half of the money went to the management's own pocket known in the state as a golden parachute.

Najib really gave a new meaning of money value by just approved a 5 billion bail out to one company. How much more he willing to give to company the money that he didn't own?

Malaysia datukship are getting ridiculous.

I read it in disbelieve when news about Shah Rukh Khan was given a "Datuk" title few days ago. Nothing strange about it, because the last previous "Datuk" also given to someone who just sat in a space rocket courtesy of the Malaysian tax payer money.

The reason Shah Rukh Khan was awarded to this title according to the Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam as i quote;

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said the decision to confer the title on the actor was suggested to Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob by former Finance Minister Tun Daim Zainuddin recently.

Daim said it was a means to promote Malacca and the actor had shot a movie scene here several years ago.

TheStar: People just Khan believe it!

It look like our dear leaders are getting the kick out listing some people that he or she like to our tax payer money title without considering their achievement to the nation or the state. This raised a great concern on their mental state and ability to make a good judgment when big crisis happening to the nation such as today, the downfall of the nation economy.

Nevertheless, we can see some well deserved Nicol David and Lee Chong Wei awarded this title because of their contribution and hard work in achieving great success in international sports.

Only few well deserved people were awarded a high rank title from the government compare to lots that were questionable. We will see many more of ridiculous people given an honorary title that sooner or later will downgraded the prestige and the respect of it. I bet people from other country laughing at us and felt sad over our leaders’ mental state of mind.

Illegal to legal: Has Malaysia MyKad been compromised?

It is a shock to read the expose about the MyKad scandal in the news. Sabahan politician was heating up the pressure to the Federal Government to solve this issue and find the culprits that caused this catastrophic problem to Malaysian sovereignty.

She lost MyKad, now citizenship gone too

SAPP to show proof of Sabah MyKad scandal

Above are the expose that signaling the intensity of the JPN failed in protecting its own citizen. Illegal immigrants can easily purchasing a legal citizenship rather than a fake document in the black market. This is a serious matter that should be investigated by the government and if not it will cause unrest and distrust from the people.

It look like the JPN unwillingness to explain and investigate this matter given an impression that the cause is from the inside itself. I remembered an incident on one JPN office in one small town was closed due it was compromised by certain group to supplying legal Mykad print to illegal immigrant. It was huge news in the town but suddenly disappeared from the public news.

Sabah MyKad crisis is an achilles heel to a bigger problem that could shaken the fundamental of the sovereignty and security of this nation. With the influx of the illegal immigrant that obtain a legal status to stay in Malaysia, it will slowly sideline the local people and at worst taking over Sabah in future. The fear of some administration to admit wrong doing and the fail and delaying in fixing the real problem will break the country in half and unrest in its sociopolitical balance.

Do we need MCA in Sabah?

Today on theStar:
Sabah needs more MCA reps, says Lim

Sabah do really need more chinese representative in the state government but not from MCA. MCA become weak all these years because they bow down to the UMNO policy and slowly neglected to fight for the chinese benefits. How does it make sense to put more lame duck and chicken MCA representative when in Malaya, MCA not function as it should be?

Malaysian Chinese Association is a racial based party that started in 1949 by the Kuomintang (KMT) party as an alternative party to Malaya Communist Party. Since the pakatan UMNO, MCA and MIC was established, the chinese community benefits slowly being taken away until most of them have to move to overseas to find social economic opportunity.

MCA believe that compromise is the way to ensure the peace in this multiracial community. There are no doubt in this intellectual wisdom but this also a cause to the slowly dwindling, less opportunity and benefits in many ways and the neglected by the leader who only interested to stay on power than to fight for the chinese community. With the compromise position taken by the MCA leader, UMNO become more daring into its policy to rule out chinese community in the government development policy. Chinese then has to find their own way to ensure economic opportunity in private sectors and overseas.

Sabah chinese community was not represent by a single race party, most of them represented in a multiracial chinese party such LDP and SAPP. DAP went in to sabah only recently and able to won one seats in Parliament. I don't agree a Malaya based party to represent the benefits of the chinese community in sabah but it should be represent by local party that power based in Sabah. Sabah all these years was governed by the Malaya people by proxy in the BN. This proxy government has no say in anything and most of time taking order and policy from the Malaya based party. This is the reason why it is so hard to solve some great issues such as the illegal immigrant, oil royalty, and economic development that supposed to bring benefits to the state.

Joe Biden and Sarah Palin VP Debate

Click here for the debate transcript.

I watched the America vice Presidential debate rerun and found it less suffering between Barack Obama and John McCain Presidential debate. There will be two more debate, one for the presidential and one for the vice presidential nominee. The different between Sarah Palin and John McCain was that she is energetic and enthusiastic on this debate. Sarah Palin has the opportunity to debate in some issue with full respect from Joe Biden compared to John McCain with Barack Obama.

John McCain in the latest presidential debate did not show any respect to his opponent Barack Obama when he repeatedly said he not ready nor could understand the intensity of the issue that raised while Barack Obama hold the disrespect with point or argument and discredited John McCain accusation. Joe Biden and Sarah Palin each other seem to having a great time debating with each other with respect to each other that i didn't saw it from John McCain.

The debate was widely pronounced that Joe Biden clearly won the debate. Sarah Palin did better but still not qualify to sit on the VP chair. Sarah Palin really need a good homework and experience in many ways if in future she would like to go out again to contest for the President of America. It will not be a very great disappointment for Sarah Palin if John McCain lost the Presidential Election because she still has a very long road to go. Now, Sarah Palin has a very strong platform and opportunity to climb and promote herself once again maybe to become a first woman to be the President of United State America if Hillary Clinton or other woman did not take it first.

Sabah Lame Duck MP got some guts after all, or He is not.

Today at The New Straits Time Online

Majimbun to show proof that MyKad have issued to foreigners in Sabah

and i quote:

“I will bare all, including proof of people who were not born in Sabah becoming citizens of the country (in Sabah),”

“Just imagine our population increased by 285 per cent between 1970 and 2000."

The question is, why it took so long to take any strong action against the federal government? Sabahan are complaining for a very long time about the false citizenship infesting badly for a very long time. The ironic thing was, this is not caused by the federal government but more to the local self inflicted. If only the local leader willing to take strict action against this thing, this will not happen at first.

Sabahan leader has already proven them self to be a lame duck leader. Action taken was influences to their self political conscious and benefits. Echoing an old unresolved problem such as the illegal, corruption, mismanagement and especially the 20 point agreement now was not because they care for Sabah but for their own political agenda. Sabahan leaders tend to be strong when on the opposition side but a pure lame duck after got their power.

Proof that He also a Lame Duck MP and a puppet to BN handwork.

Musa to consult Barisan leaders
